The Akinyemi Olanrewaju's Buries Mother in Style

The sleepy village of Ayetoro-Ekiti in Ido-Osi Local Government Area  of EKiti State on the 29th of January, 2016 opened its bowels to the crème of Nigerian society. It was the burial funeral ceremony of late Madam Janet Ajigbotola Akinyemi Olanrewaju JP nee Kolade, the matriarch of the Akinyemi's. Photos after the cut.....

Madam Janet Ajigbotola Akinyemi Olanrewaju JP was born in 1932. She got married to her beloved husband late Ezekiel Akinyemi Olanrewaju from Ayetoro-Ekiti in 1952. Mama and the husband engaged in "Osomaalo" buying and selling of cloth, a business she did for over 50years. After loosing her husband in 1995, mama relocated from Ondo State to Ayetoro and stated a cement business.

She was a strong and lovely woman and in all these, she was a true Christian, she got baptized in 1963, in 2010 she went to Jerusalem for pilgrimage.

Mama was a committed member of St. Stephen Anglican Church, Ayetoro-Ekiti. She died on 2nd, November, 2015 and is survived by brothers, sisters, children, grand children and great grand children.

The burial ceremony has in attendance professional yoruba singers and the ambience was celestial in its pink and orange, Ash, red and Green draperies. The atmosphere was filled with love, singing, dancing and money spraying spree. During her funeral service at the St. Stephen Anglican Church, Ayetoro-Ekiti, the Officiating Minister described Madam Janet Ajigbotola Akinyemi Olanrewaju JP as a virtuous woman of exemplary character.
