The case filed by Emmanuel Jime against Ortom at the Federal High Court has just been struck out. Justice Chukwu struck out the suit upon application by Jime's application for the court to do so.

In a motion for discontinuance filed by Jime's lawyer S.I. Ameh (SAN), it is explained that the withdrawal was occasioned by the intervention of President Buhari and the leader of Jime's party APC.
All the parties were not in court while both Sebastian Hon and S.I. Ameh were absent in court. S.A. Orkuma Esq and Rhoda Ako Esq led the lawyers that appeared in court today. Others include Oscar Aorabee Esq, Shishi Esq, Omale Omale Esq, D.I. Daagba Esq, G.M. Madaki Esq, S. Akpenpuun Esq and D. Donglong Esq.
