What I heard & Saw; As PDP, APC Supporters Clash In Makurdi, Benue State - Photos

A major bloody clash between supporters of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and the All Progressives Party (APC) was averted in Makurdi on Sunday, by the police.
I was in Makurdi myself too and so i promised to give you a first hand gist, so let me take you back to the night it all started (Saturday February, 14th 2015). According my findings from undisclosed sources; several APC supporters sat out at HAF Haven Hotel, which is own by APC Stalwart Mrs. Regina Akume wife to Senator George Akume, but at about 11 pm in the night, some miscreants   suspected to be PDP stormed the place and engaged the APC youths in a free for all fight. They further destroyed APC branded vehicles parked at the hotel premises. See pics below:
The thugs were said to have moved further to APC guber aspirant’s office, destroying posters and cars parked with the premises, and also touching the building, if for the timely intervention of a civil defense guard who was guarding the office at the moment, more damaged would have been done.  See pics attached.

The following morning February 15, 2015, some suspected APC youths allegedly blocked the highway early hours of the day in protest to the attack on APC’s governorship campaign office & Haf Heaven; they also destroyed some posters of PDP aspirants along Highlevel road, matching down to “Suswam Thank you Primary School”. As a result of the development, PDP youths were said to have started mobilizing themselves to counter the protesters before the police quickly intervened.
When contacted, the state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP. Ezeani Ameachi, connfirmed the story and described what happened as the handiwork of miscreants who took advantage of destruction of APC’s campaign billboards to disrupt traffic in the metropolis.
“What actually happened was the handiwork of some miscreants which we have not yet identified whose music they were playing. We can not say categorically that they belong to political parties until investigations are concluded,” he said.
Media Adviser to APC Governorship Campaign Organization, Tahav Agerzua, while reating to the development alleged that hoodlums attacked APC's  supporters and destroyed property at the Half Haven Hotel and the Ortom/Abounu campaign headquarters at Oracle Printing Press Limited, High Level, Makurdi.
Agerzua said that Ortom had written to the Commissioner of Police in the state, adding, “We believe that if the police and other security agencies do their work, those who embark on such provocative errands in order to precipitate crisis can be located and arrested because they are not farfetched.”
Also reacting to the development A support group of the PDP governorship candidate, Prince Terhemeen Tarzoor known as ‘Booth 2 Booth’ had raised the alarm of series of attacks allegedly melted on their members by suspected APC supporters.
At a press briefing held at the weekend, the president, Mr Jerome Zaye alleged that the suspected APC thugs had attacked a popular “Pages Park” owned by (him) Zaye and destroyed properties at the park as well as tore PDP posters posted around the park.
This development is not heathy for our volatile state.
Peace is priceless, no politician is worth out blood, let us give peace a chance. #VoteNotFight
